3 blogs covering online and destination marketing for travel and tourism
February 2nd, 2007
Xavier Cobos has a blog covering travel, tourism and destination branding. He has just got cracking but starts with a post on how the New Orleans CVB (Convention & Visitors Bureau) is undergoing an aggressive rebranding campaign.
Joe Buhler’s blog is titled ‘Travel and Tourism in the age of Web 2.0 | Destination Marketing Strategy & Analysis’. He posts regularly with news and experienced insights into the world of global destination marketing and beyond.
Started back in October of last year, Jens Thraenhart has already made over fifty posts covering eStrategies for the Travel and Tourism industry. He balances this well with the odd post and links to sites of general interest and online trends.

Thanks for the plug! I recently completed a MS in Tourism & Travel Management at NYU, and am wrapping up my job search in the Bay Area. Check back soon — I should have more time to write.

Thanks for including my blog in your posting. It has been a fun little hobby to run the blog - running E-Marketing for the Canadian Tourism Commission (www.canada.travel). I also very much enjoy your blog and have been visiting it often. Good luck and all the best!

Appreciate the reference to my blog. Glad to see that destination marketing starts to come alive as a topic. I felt pretty lonely out there in January of ‘05 when I started covering the subject. Look forward to a continued conversation.
