Link Roundup 20.07.07

Wise words from Susan Merrit: 10 things we can learn from Facebook – and for those Facebook followers, a discussion brewing over at Techcrunch, Could Facebook Become The Next Microsoft?

On the same theme, Jens Thraenhart has started a Facebook group to build a community among travel-related bloggers. Paul Johnson of A Luxury Travel Blog has started a group for those working in the luxury travel industry. Good luck to them! I’m feeling a little facebooked out after some heavy usage and the blanket coverage in many of the blogs I frequent but I’ll be joining in soon to get connected and see how it’s working out.

Facebook certainly does seem to have made huge inroads into the social networking scene this past few months… it’s quite incredible.

You’ve only got to look at its Alexa ranking (not the only or best indicator, I know, but it does give a picture) to see the uptake since 2006, and steadily since, has been phenomenal.

See you on there soon! :)

    Hi Paul,

I’ll be in there soon, hope it’s going well. I have a bit of a dilemma about Facebook though, this link sums it up well. http://richard-sedley.tumblr.com/post/4021869

    Cheers
