Reading that Q & A on TravelMole, I was pretty surprised by both the questions and answers given.

In 2007, no way. Especially in terms of SEO. In the past good SEO could produce results for any business or website. However these days large, established businesses have a massive head start, having naturally acrued the type of high-quality links that massively influence Google and that smaller businesses struggle to get these days, unless they are particularly remarkable businesses in their own right.
I’m surprised Latitude didn’t pick up on that point. But then again, the article was plugging their SME service.
