Case StudyClientMonaco Convention Bureau (www.visitmonaco.com) Situation → Problem → SolutionWith a perfect climate, an exceptional setting and extensive facilities, Monaco asserts itself as an ideal destination for business tourism. The Monaco Convention Bureau works under the umbrella of the Tourist and Convention Authority and is dedicated entirely to Business Tourism. Their main objective is to offer advice regarding technical and economic amenities to organisers of congresses, seminars, exhibitions and trade shows, whatever the budget and free of charge. With business tourism representing 24% of the destination's entire tourism the ability to connect and communicate with potential organisers is extremely important. The London office contacted us in late 2007 and we set to work creating an email marketing strategy. ResultsWe worked with the bureau on content areas and created a template format that is ideal for changing content but consistent design. The following subject areas change from month to month: Venue of the month, Event of the month, Forthcoming events, Latest news, ‘Did you know?’ and testimonials. Within one month we had designed and broadcast the first email to over 6,000 recipients include meeting and incentive agencies and corporations present on the Monaco Tourist Authority database. The monthly broadcast has enabled the Monaco Tourist Authority to develop a trusted and regular communication channel with key decision makers. The latter are able to keep a close eye on all the latest news and events happening in the Principality.
